Since Litigation, Threats, and Violence have already been covered, what about talking to them?
You had every legal right to have the car towed, but did you try asking them to move it first? The benefits of talking to them first are that they might act more considerate, and you might not have to worry about them trying to “get back” at you. Plus if it doesn’t work you can still have the car towed.
Odds are that it is a little late to try and get to know them now, but chances are that it will be different college students next fall. Maybe if they got to know you they might be better neighbors.
(P.S. My downstairs neighbors have turned up their speakers so loud at times that the walls shook, but only during daylight hours. Life is full of give & take.)
