How do I do superscript on the boards?

OK, I saw a post recently that had superscript. Since I had (coincidentally) been wanting to use some recently, I hit the reply button to see what the code looked like in the quoted part of the reply. It looks like whomever it was that posted simply used html tags, ^and. However, when I tried to do that, I simply got the tags back and no superscript.

What am I missing here?

EDIT: OK, now it's working for whatever reason. I noticed that for the thread I was trying to us it in, it said html code was off, on this thread it says it was on. I guess I'm still confused. Is the application of html code inconsistent between different forums here?

Yup. Not all forums accepts HTML.

Is there a reason for that, or did it just get missed on some forums?
