Shrek will probably be the best movie of the year(well, Spidey may beat it...but still, I've seen Shrek more times than I saw LotR already).

Shrek 2 - 10
Kill Bill 2 - 9
Day After Tommorrow - 8
The Alamo - 8
Chronicles of Riddick - 8
Troy - 7
Hellboy - 7
Van Helsing - 7

What can I say, I liked Van Helsing. :) Been a good year for movies for me.

Hellboy - 8
Punisher - 7
Van Helsing - 4

Unfortunately, I didn't get a chance to see Kill Bill Vol. 2. The local theatre, which played Vol. 1, only had it at the end of it's run for 3 days and I missed it. I may not get a chance to see Chronicles of Riddick, either, and I have a free ticket for it, too! There are two local theatres and neither knows if they're getting it. :(

Good question!

I haven't seen too many films this year, unfortunately. But here's my list:

Kill Bill Vol 2: 10
The Fog of War: 10
The Passion of the Christ: 9
Hellboy: 6
Troy: 5
Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban: 5
Van Helsing: 4
Bubba Ho-Tep: 2

I think The Fog of War actually came out last year but I first saw it this year, so there you go. Likewise Bubba Ho-Tep.

Miracle - 9
Spiderman II - 9
Bubba Ho-tep - 8
Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind - 8
King Arthur - 8
The Butterfly Effect - 8
Van Helsing - 8
Dawn of the Dead - 7
Harry Potter - 7
Shrek 2 - 7
Starsky & Hutch - 7
Hellboy - 5
Troy - 5
Kill Bill Vol 2 - 4
Along Came Polly - 3
Chronicles of Riddick - 3
The Ladykillers - 3

I would have rated LOTR a '10' also, but I feel too many crucial scenes that I think were filmed were left out of the theatre version, namely the confrontation with Saruman; Aragorn challenging Sauron in the Palantir; Gandalf confronting the Witch-King at the Gates of Minas Tirith; and the Mouth of Sauron; and I just felt the end dragged out too long with way too many horrible close-ups and slow-mo shots of Frodo's melancholy face. So that was 2 points off.
