That's correct. Just need the PH, CA, and XPH. If your GM doesn't like the build because of the alternate familiar, you can get an even greater effect with Marshal instead of Wizard, the aura that grants your Charisma bonus again to Charisma-based checks, and the synergy feat from Races of Destiny. The latter build is +40 with a Circlet of Persuasion, or +37 withoutJdvn1 said:Rystil Arden did +34 Diplomacy by level 3 using a Half-Elf Wizard 1/Psion 1/Warlock 1. Level 9 should be easy.![]()
Sure, at the DM's discretion. You could also use the charm person spell to get the same effect, albeit with a saving throw.Question said:So with +40ish.....couldnt you do full round actions to switch hostiles to friendly?
I used to consider this as a player until I understood the consequences. If someone did this in a campaign that I run, I'd let them. But then after the 3rd time they pulled this tactic I'd end the campaign saying, "You are so magnificent and expert at persuasion that you are able to convince anyone to do what you please. The world is a happy place... at least for you. Now do you want to roll up new characters to start a new campaign? Or do you want to roll up new characters and continue where this one would have gone if your characters weren't so persuasive?"Question said:So with +40ish.....couldnt you do full round actions to switch hostiles to friendly?
Yeah, I believe that was mekanithardm said:there used to be a thread that showed how to get +35 at 3rd level so i suggest looking for that thread

Some other ways to gain bonus: Mindbender and Courtier both lend themselves well to diplomacizing.
God I love courtiers.
