There are all types of different Orcs out there, most are stupid, some are green, some are pig headed, some are honorable warriors....so how do you like them...For myself I'm leaning toward the warcraft orcs...green, strong and honorable...not stupid...anyhow let me know. Did I miss a type of Orc? Let me know...

Warcraft orcs are cool but I think most people think of them as dumb, not honorable.

I am going with this: They are dumb and look like Gammorean Guards from Return of the Jedi just because that is what I want them to look like.

Hey, it's my imagination, right?

My orcs in D&D are pretty much standard, but my favorite orcs are Lord of the Rings style - degenerate, corrupt, vicious and cannibalistic. Not so much stupid as just unthinkingly barbarous.

Demiurge out.

I like my orcs greyish-black, harsh-featured, and slightly bigger than humans, with a penchant for trickery, betrayal, and wanton destruction, and no talent for scholarly pursuits.

Yep, just like LOTR.

I've never been able to take pig-faced green orcs seriously...they're just too cartoonish for me, personally, no matter how unique or cool they are in the non-physical areas.

I dropped Orcs from my mythology in 8th grade and have never used them since. So, the answer to 'How do I like my Orcs' is 'I don't.'

One race of ugly nasty is enough for a campaign world. In my campaign, the goblins historically had selective breeding program that has produced a complex caste system which includes (low) goblins, hobgoblins, bugbears, ogres and high goblins. All five groups consider themselves to be of the same race and tend to have the same patron deities. There are several large goblin-kind nations. Orcs simply don't exist. I simply didn't feel I couldn't make them distinct enough of a culture from my goblins, and the hobgoblins already filled the role of ruthless militant semi-honorable warrior caste.
