Today I heard it Par-tha-non
This is a strucure outside of Athens

Another time I had heard Panth-eon
Dictionary.com has it as pan·the·on (not sure if this is the same as mine)
Its not really a common word so I was wondering if I've been saying it wrong all these years?

And the smart arse answer as to how I pronounce "pantheon" is ....

... correctly :D

On a related subject (except I'm taking this halfway seriously), yesterday's _History Bites_ (a delightful little show on Canada's History Channel that satirizes historical events) had a character pronounce Baba Yaga's name Baba Ya-GUH, whereas I've always pronounced it Baba YAG-uh.

Anyone know the correct pronounciation on that one?

Oh, sweet christmas! What have you fools done!?! I thought they were dead! Dead!

(Drew runs from the thread screaming. He seeks shelter in the mountain. There is much wailing and gnashing of teeth. Drew cries out to the mountain to fall upon him and give him peace, but there is no peace in these dark times.)
