How does Explosive Spellcasting work exactly?

Could anyone please explain me clearly how Explosive Spellcasting works? The name sounds good but the description looks iffy, gives the impression that it only means that you can select a different target for a crit roll instead of what the adjective "explosive" would imply (which would be blowing them all up).

It means that when you score critical hits on minions or badly damaged enemies in the area, you can redirect them to people more deserving of the additional damage instead of letting them be 'wasted.' Basically, someone attacking 5 guys with an area power that has 19-20 crit range (since this is an epic feat after all) has a decent chance of scoring a critical on someone. With explosive spellcasting, you get to choose the someone.

Also, if you get multiple crits, you could stack all of them on one guy.

Well, I don't know about "stacking crits" since I can't see how that would work.

Another possible benefit is that if you catch one of your own people with the spell you can redirect a crit from them to an enemy. It helps retain the flexibility to use AoEs and such in situations where a high crit range character would normally have a disadvantage. It isn't an earth shakingly great feat, but for certain specific character builds it can be a good choice.

Each character only takes the normal damage once, but you could stack multiple crit specific damage such as dice from a magic weapon - or that's the way I read the feat anyway :)
