I use different systems for different games.

I'll be running a Radiant Citadel adventure next, as part of a campaign. We'll be using a mix of 2014/2024 D&D, depending on what the players want. (On my side of the screen, I'm shifting over to 2024.)

But this year I'm also going to run a West Marches game using Shadowdark in a wild region devastated several generations ago by a wizard war and now being settled by veterans of an imperial army so that the army can keep them away from the capital and the temptation to overthrow the existing power structure.

I also plan on running games of Pirate Borg, Mothership and Eat the Reich this year as well.

I am not a one-size-fits-all kind of DM, but one who prefers bespoke tools when realistic.

If you're playing Shadowdark or DCC or Worlds Without Number or similar, it's certainly more D&D-tied than Runequest or Traveller or whatnot. I would suggest including (in polls like this) some term to capture things that aren't retroclones but also clearly in the D&D-adjacent territory of RPG-space. I use the term 'D&D-alikes,' but others have other ways of saying it.
Good call. I added an option for D&D-adjacent games.

Voted for, "We will be playing another game and will not be using D&D or any of its variations."

The probability of me playing anything even in the same REALM as D&D (class/level based, d20 core resolution, skill proficiency scaled leveling) is very low. There's a small chance another GM might convince me to try PF2. I could possibly see myself spinning up ACKS II as a fun "retro" game at some point in the next 2-3 years.

The probability of me using the actual Wizards of the Coast, official Dungeons & Dragons core rule system is 0%, or less than 0%.

In my main group, our system choice is dependent on what campaign/world/story we want to play in. Right now for rules we are splitting our time between D&D 4e, Cortex Prime, Troubleshooters, and my own RPG system (called the Aurora RPG engine). Our currently dormant games use(d) 2d20, 5e, Mouseguard (BW), FATE, and likely a few more. :)

The other group I play with once a month is a more solidly D&D group. We're mid-campaign playing 5e14, and when this module (from 1e!) I'm running right now ends in a session or two, we'll pick up another of the campaigns we put on pause that also was doing 5e14 and will likely stay in it until the campaign ends. If/when we start up a whole new campaign (which might be a while, given our lack of speed/play frequency) we'll probably give the 5e24 ruleset a try (and/or mix/match).

My two regular groups - one playing CoC 7e, the other playing Savage Worlds - have campaigns that will hopefully go on for quite a while, so there's not need for a full system switch. However, we have talked about taking a short break in the Savage Worlds group, and my current plan is to run Beyond the Wall (so I picked D&D-adjacent). I'm also thinking about running a few sessions of DCC some time this year, too.
