I've been gaming for 11 years and DMing for 10 years. The first Whose game I played in did a really crappy job, and no one was happy with the things that happened and the way it ended, and I knew I could do better, so I just sort of took over.

Am I a good DM? Well, all I can say about that is my players keep coming back to my games.

I think your scale shouldn't have stopped at 15. :)

24 years, here, and I've gone through everything from straight-faced dungeon crawl in my pre-teens to highly interactive story-play.

Am I a good DM? Some people say I am, and compared to many of the other DM's here, I'm "decent" to their "awesome."

Ditto, ditto, and ditto. Except Henry has about two more years of experience than me.

I guess I DM'd a little when the game first came out in `74, but just random encounters mostly using the old Outdoor Survival game board as a map and such. I don't think I really started DMing in earnest until a couple of years later after I had created my own trapped and creature-stocked dungeon with some encounter-laden wilderness and a populated town nearby. Lots of fun and still is.

Started playing in 1979, 26 years ago. It was an early start, as the game was not easily available here in France. Started DMing a few months later, and my first attempts were a shame. Things went much better after that and some of my games are said to stay in my players' memories. After going through Basic, AD&D 1st and 2nd, our group stopped for two or three years. In 2000, I brought back most of my playing pals to the game by starting a new 3rd Edition game and then 2 campaigns.

As I now have finally and definitely stopped DMing 3rd Ed, I am planning on starting a new (and final?) campaign with an AD&D 1st-2nd Edition mix.
