How long have you been posting on ENWorld?

How long have you been posting (not lurking) on ENWorld?

  • Since the very first Noahboard.

    Votes: 137 34.2%
  • Since the other, more fun-to-deal-with Noahboards.

    Votes: 110 27.4%
  • Since Morrus took over and established ENWorld.

    Votes: 85 21.2%
  • During the last year (since June of 2003).

    Votes: 69 17.2%

I've been lurking since about March or April of 2000, I don't think I posted till August when the PHB hit. I still remember Erics cool examples explaining AOO's. Those helped a lot in our early games when we were just getting the rules down.

one thing i've noticed from meeting a small handful of other posters, is that us "old-timers" who remember Eric Noah's site call it "E--N--World" when we say it out loud. new people who came in later often say it "en--World" because they don't know what the E.N. stands for.
You're kidding. Do these people not notice that the E and the N are both capitalized?

That's the same kind of ignorance that leads people to pronounce URL as "earl" instead of "you-are-ell". *rolleyes*

P.S. We should add a poll option that reads:
(1) Back when  still worked.
(2) After  was purged in a coup d'etat.

Yeah, I never got that; maybe I missed a key thread or something. Why is it gone?

[edit]I voted 'During the last year' because that's the only one I can be sure of.

I've been around since early 2000, before 3E was released. I didn't post very much, untill the latest version of the boards. I don't think my post count broke 100 on any previous versions, but I've been here.

I was working at the local game store and making sure to tell everyone intersted about the site and all the great scoops that were coming in.

Been here since 1999 or so, which I think were the first boards. Posting here was one of my biggest stress reliefs when studying for the Illinois bar exam. Don't know what I would have done without the place.

Strangely enough, considering my low post count, I've been posting since the very beginning, just not as Doc_Klueless. I went by my real name (Art Wendorf) back then.

One of my first flame wars in fact was with Ruin Explorer over "is D&D murder?" back in I believe January of 2000. God, was that the worst messageboard software on record.
I remember "arguing" with Synaptic Dragon and Therumancer (sp?).

After finding a link on r.g.f.d., I lurked for a bit -- and then joined back the autumn of (I believe) 1999. We were playtesting 3e at the time, and it was torture not blabbing about it when I'd read misconceptions.
N00b.

I stumbled my way here when I first got the 3E PHB, and was trying to figure out how these AoO things worked. One quick search later, and I was Eric's site.

SInce 2001. I was a late-comer to 3e, but once the I found the place I was in love. I've been here off and on ever since, though I'm more of a resident of that...other board...than ENWorld these days. But that's nothing against this place. Most just that after the 3.5 revision came out it seems like the assumption is that's what everyone plays. Makes it harder to get into the discussions when the first response to every statement it "but it isn't that way anymore!". But I loves ya just the sale. :)

I remember the first IR, the 'Star Trek is like Communism' flame war, the Pantheon, and the viagra ads at the top of the page every frikken day.
