How many game sessions have you run?

Hiya.

After my quick calculations...about 12,500hr playing in my 31 years of experience. I figure...90% of that as DM/GM, so...11,250hr as DM/GM of various game systems (mostly BECMI, AD&D 1e, Star Frontiers, Gamma World (3rd ed) and Powers & Perils).

Yeah...been at it a while, and don't see me stopping any time soon. I figure I have at least another 30 to 40 years of gaming to go!


Edit: Oh, how many *sessions*? Hmmm...conservativly, call it 1,600 or so.

About 1,000 sessions run, for a total of about 4,500 hours. Maybe an additional 500 hours as a player. That's across just over 24 years.

As for prep-time and time spent on peripheral issues... maybe a further 10,000 hours?

Fantastic question. I'm over a thousand, that's for sure.

300+ sessions for RPGA back in the 90's
100+ sessions for first campaign
400+ sessions for last campaign
150+ sessions for current campaigns
100+ sessions in game days, cons, side campaigns and one-shots

Scary. I've also played almost as much, mostly thanks to [MENTION=726]Sagiro[/MENTION]. I'd say 600-800 game sessions playing or at conventions.

I'm guessing I've cracked 100 sessions of mostly between 4 and 6 hours in length, and that's over something in excess of twelve years and counting all games.

The rest of you apparently have a lot more free time than I do.

Twice a week (at least, around 3 or 4 sessions/week since ive been in college for the past 8 years)... .

There may be a causative relationship here

Over 30 years.... About 600-1000 sessions, 50/50
