How many sessions did you game this year?

Let call a session 2 hours.
If a session could only be two hours I'd cancel/re-schedule. I feel like a session had to be at least 4 hours to be worth it (and more than 6 hours is too much without a substantial break in the middle along with other smaller breaks).

Almost as many as I usually do (around 40-50), just shifted to purely remote. Though I kind of agree with the above poster that 2 hours is too short to be useful; no game I'm actually interested in has resolution so bare-bones that its going to get anything done in that period with a 4-6 person group.

Most of my sessions would be double triple sessions by the "two hours" guideline. Heh, when I was young we'd do 10-14 hour marathons every weekend. Now I'm a long established family man who mostly plays on weeknights, but 6:30-7:00 to 10:30-11:30 is the norm, so call the average session four hours.

Well, COVID actually spiked the number of games. Amount of competing events went way down, barrier of travel removed with virtual gaming, and after a while we all just wanted to see people we didn't live with. I think three games a week plus a biweekly game was my peak, so that would work out to seven two-hour sessions a week. But right now is likely more representative - one weekly game, two bi-weekly games on alternate weeks, and a monthly weekend game teaching the kids and their cousins that lasts 4-6 hours. So that would average out to be save 4-5 two-hour sessions a week. Futz those together and then add in the Jan-Feb live gaming and we're at well over 200 two-hour sessions a year. Well less than that in actual session, just normalized for the length.

It looks like we gamed on 42 separate occasions in 2020, split between my Saturday campaigns (generally 4-6 hours long) and my son's Wednesday evening campaigns (generally around 2-3 hours long). Not bad, considering we stopped gaming in August and only started back up yesterday.

Let call a session 2 hours. Either online or off line. I did more than I thought. But before the lockdown, I was running at cons.
I did 68 sessions.
At 2 hours per session? About 210. My friday usually is just shy of 2 sessions under that mode, and sunday is just over 2, the defunct wednesday was right about 2, and I've had 6 weeks with only one game, and 12 with 3 games...
30 weeks with 2 games, and 4 with no games at all. So (6×2)+(30×4)+(12x6)=(12)+(120)+(72)=204. And several sessions ran over by at least 2 hours. So, call it about 210. Not counting the 12 hours helping my daughter's party set up for an L5R game that failed miserably when one of the players didn't like me being asked to enforce the Character gen rules. Nor the 4 hours online with N helping xem generate characters for my january FTF group.

Make that about 220 total.

During the summer and Christmas Break, once a week. The rest of the year, 1-2 times a month. Two times a month seems to be our happier spot as far as storyline goes, but scheduling is frequently an issue, so we make up for it during the times of the year that we can. Everybody lives in the same house, so we can be scattered all over the place as far as days if need be.

We were once every 2-3 weeks, depending on schedules but a massive break in the middle of this year due to covid. Combine that with one of our players being a teacher and having to deal with the stress of setting up online classes and and various other fallout meant we didn't get back to playing until October/November so that game probably only had 3 sessions all up.

Another game I was playing in was 2-3 weeks online. Probably got at least a half dozen sessions of that so maybe around 9 all up. Could have had more but the game i ran didn't really want to run online so that also cut into things a bit.
