Gosh. I don't have a lot of expendable money. Let me see...

3.0 Core Rulebooks
Book of Vile Darkness
Tome and Blood
About 10 minis
RttToEE
some small mods
Dice
Elements of Magic pdf
.
.
I think that comes in under $200.

Try being unemployed for a year...it tends to curb your RPG purchases. I and several of my players know this from personal experience, unfortunately. I've probably spent about $500 total over three years, including minis, dice, books, magazines, PDFs, dwarven forge and so on. Most of these purchases were entirely optional, but almost every one has seen use in some capacity in my games.

That said, I could easily have gotten by without most of them, beyond the core, a couple of modules and the odd supplement or two. I merely chose not to...because I LIKE to buy more books. Will I play Midnight? Hopefully, yes...but if I don't, I still enjoyed reading it, and it gave me new ideas. A worthy puchase, either way.

I spent close to 600€ this past weekend alone (not all of it was D&D but a fair amount was, so that gives an indication of my spending ;))

Thousands. Thousands and thousands. If I actually count "other d20 books (or even non-d20) only if you have used them to play D&D" (which is virtually my entire 2e collection of books, since I've converted almost all of it and use it on a regular basis in my long-running Forgotten Realms campaign), it's well over $10,000.

Jeebus.

Edit: Typo. It's "use", not "us".

OMG, why aren't we playing at your house??

Because he just has to have a keychain that repeats his favorite matra if his posts here are any indication, and that'd be too much to take.
:p

Psion, pretty much answered the question. i have ads on nearly every board i visit for a group. but it is for Original D&D (1974) the one true game.... :D

I've probably spent in excess of $2000 just on D20. The books' prices tend to rise when they're brought here to our FLGS. The amount of money I've ever used on RPGs frightens me.

D&D Plush Toys? This I gotta see.

I'm claiming $500. I don't want to know the real number. I'm a closet D&D whore. of course, that doesn't count my hord of dice and minis.
