Well, I often wait until I can get a discount, or buy stuff on eBay

But even still I have spent around $700 (MSRP would be over $1000)

So take that as you will ;)

Oh yeah? Well I had that, had it stolen, and replaced it. So nyah!

I also have a FF in mint condition.

Gonna stop now cause I don't feel like a collection war...
;)

I vote for $1,000+ because there was no entry for:

"Dear God, I am in need of an intervention" on the list.

:D

I just rearranged the game room this weekend, if it was cash,
I'd probably have a Hummer sitting in my room :(

Count ONLY your D&D 3rd edition material, not what you bought before 3ed came out...

So, no counting anything I bought in the first quarter century of playing from 1974 to 1999...? :D

There's your convincing argument to friends. Some things come and go but you can always play RPGs. I've been playing RPGs for nearly 30 years and haven't found them boring yet.

They really don't cost more money than you want to spend on them, if finances are an issue. I've played through lean times, and times when I've been well heeled.

You don't have to invest more time than you like. You can miss a session and be "written" back into the story the next time you play. You can play one shot adventures or get involved in campaign games.

The biggest investment for RPGs is your imagination and the return on that investment is immeasurable amounts of fun! :)
