How much sleep do you need?

Being a teenager and an insomniac, it's hard to judge. To be frank, I'm never rested. Most of the time I can't sleep, and when I can, I've got somewhere to go and something to do.

I probably average around 5.5 hours a night. I am a night owl but life doesn't seem to want to revolve around my preferences. Go figure.

I have a wife, 4 daughters and run a small business so time is at a premium.....besides even with 4 computers in the house I usually can't get on for any significant amount of time until everyone else is in bed.

8-10 to feel rested. But I love to sleep. I CAN oversleep and feel tired, but a warm soft bed is about the best thing there is. Someday I plan to pick a day when I don't have work, anywhere to go, or anything I need to get done, and just snooze the whole day away, just for fun.

I need a minimum of 6 hours to fully function, but there's a strange thing with me. WHICH six hours depends on how well rested I am. When I go to bed at 3 and get up at 9, I feel much more rested than when I sleep from 12-6. The earlier I have to wake up, the more tired I will be, even if I go to bed early.
