I've had A Idea for A Unique DAD Character but I've got a question, but first loads of info

In the idea king has A heir whose 4 year old Boy, but no one, not even The King, knew that his Dead mothers A Escaped Slave who is still wanted and because she feared her lover would leave her, even though he wouldn't, now she's dead and its too later to get her freed

The thing is The 4 year old Crown Prince wants to see his mothers homeland and his father has let him go their on holiday, unofficially, in disguise and with only a very small number of very powerful guards

But the bad guys will succeed by speed, surprise, numbers and the fact that once they have the 4 year old his guards wll break off, fall back and follow at a very safe distance, after all that's what's best for the 4 year old prince

The thing is all males members of his mothers side of the family bare a distinctive birthmark, and even if his mum was alive no one would recognize her, but his distinctive birthmark proves he's her son, she, her father and grandfather were only children and because of how little times passed since she escaped, 17 years, he can't be her grandson

This is going to be big trouble for The 4 year old Crown Prince because his mothers listed as A Wanted Escaped Slave, she was never freed, her husband/the king would have arranged it, he would never return her but she didn't know that and wouldn't take the risk he'd return her

So technically, and in his mothers homeland legally, because he has A Birthmark that proves that his mother is someone that is, because they don't know she's dead, listed as A Wanted Escaped Slave he is classed as A Escaped Slave and no one knows, yet, that despite his mother being listed as A Wanted Escaped Slave that his fathers A King

The old saying is I wouldn't be in your shoes for all the tea in china, but here I think a far better saying would be I wouldn't be in your shoes for all the tea on Earth

So how much trouble are the Slave catchers in for taking A 4 year old Crown Prince whose mother was A Escaped Slave?, which legally makes him a slave

The place that allows slaves is scoured to the bedrock by cleansing fire while every slave is teleported to safety.

Fin.
I was about to say my PCs start out on a rescue mission and it turns (maybe some would call it sidetrek) into insighting a rebelian... hopefully they remember the boy before the major over turn of the entire system starts...

with my group it's about 50/50 if they try to make a star trek socialist utopia or decide to just leave the whole place overturned and on its own.

Many societies the mothers of Royal Princes were slaves and that was immaterial to the status of the Prince. An acknowledged prince is a prince and the mothers status is immaterial. The boy is a prince if so acknowledged.

One country kidnapped another's crown prince while the King and Queen are still alive.

Well, that's a war. Doesn't really matter the whys and wherefores.

While it's very possible that the king will try to get his son back, invading the neighbouring country because they arrested, for whatever reason, a person that entered under a false identity, and who happened to be the crown prince, might not be the first option. Sending a message through diplomatic channel "sorry, our crown prince wanted to do some visiting and entered your country without passing through the regular diplomatic channels, youngsters being youngsters and you know he's apparently a 4 year old but command a great deal of autonomy on his personal guards, but still he's 4 years old, we understand that the guy you arrested is him, could you arrange for his freedom and settle the case in exchange for a very advantegeous lift of customs and duties on your wool products that we were discussing as a sign of goodwill on our part?"; If they kept the crown prince prisonner after this offer, then yes, it's possible daddy will invade. But it would reflect poorly on the country to invade as the first reflex each time some schmuck is arrested for breaking local laws in a foreign country, which is exactly how it would appear unless they provide explanation which would lead to a diplomatic resolution of the crisis.

Ok... this makes no sense.

Why are "the bad guys" (... who the heck are they?) trying to capture a 4 year old? How do they know he's an escaped slave due to a technicality? No one faces powerful guard to capture a 4 year old slave. You keep calling them "slave catchers" so clearly they aren't after him because he's a prince....

It was my undestanding that they where law enforcement authorities equipped with wands of detecting illegal aliens and they don't know he happens to be a prince since the OP said that they visited the country "unofficially and his disguise with a small number of very powerful guards", so it was granting that they didn't know beforehand he was the crown prince (and might even not know later unless they happen to see the birthmark and to be knowledgeable of the birthmark thingie -- they might not know until they get a "sorry, we've misplaced our crown prince, and I think the person under a false identity you arrested might be him" letter).

The status with regard to the S-word is pretty irrelevant. I am pretty sure if Prince Harry tried to cross the US border from Mexico with a passport saying he's Joaquin Guzman, surrounded by heavily, militarily armed bodyguards, he'd be arrested and the UK wouldn't nuke Washington as a first response. Especially if the bodyguards violently resisted arrest.
