"Often". As in all the time. :)

Currently, my campaign is using the Second Darkness adventure path by Paizo (3e), set in Golarion (PF), using the Dark Dungeons rpg (uh, Rules Cyclopedia [BECMI] clone).

I *love* using adventures from one system with another. Sometimes, the crazier the better. My most 'out-there' conversions were probably Age of Worms AP (3e) converted to using the Advanced Marvel Super Heroes system, and the other one has got to be my Age of Worms (3e) converted to using the Star Frontiers RPG system.

IMHO, when you start to use an adventure for System A with a different System B, it free's up the stress (?) of trying to be accurate. Seriously, try converting an evil 7th level cleric with his 6 gnoll minions and their pet dire wolf to be used with, say, Shadowrun. For me, I take the general purpose of the encounter and use that; screw number-to-number and stat-to-stat conversion. That's not important at ALL. Converting that encounter to a religiously-crazed elven rigger, his 6 were-wolf followers, and his personal, rigged-out, armed-and-armored, hover-cycle. *That* is where all the fun in converting is! :)

I'm currently in the process of converting a Diomin campaign from D&D to HARP, slowly, though the speed is more an aspect of my job than anything. For the NPCs, I get the gist of the idea behind them and decide if the HARP Profession of the same name fits the NPC's MO, or if a class/profession switch up is needed. Stat wise, I keep the spirit of their stats in HARP, while putting their highest stats in the Key Attributes of their HARP profession. Gear is sometimes changed for Rule of Cool reasons.
 

I voted 'often'. For me that is about 75% of the time. I have hundreds of adventures with Dungeon magazine (I'm only missing about 20 of the print issues at this point and have pdfs of the online ones), old 1E & 2E modules, boxed sets with adventures in them, more modules for other game systems etc.

I have little need to write new adventures anymore (and find the process exhausting) so I am more likely to string several adventures together with an overarching meta-plot converted to whatever system we are using than I am to create adventures from whole cloth. I find conversion 10 times easier than creation.
 

A resounding "almost never" here, but then again my current campaign isn't a typical dungeon crawl. I tend to look for adventure seeds, then see which ones will take root underwater. ;)

My current campaign uses a few of The World of Greyhawk's "Mysterious Places"; Turucambi, The Sinking Isle, and the Jungle of Lost Ships but draws equally from "Blue Planet" (Discovery), "OCEANS" (DK Publishing), and liveaquaria.com (aquarium livestock).

I suppose if I was starting from scratch today, I'd go the Pathfinder/Cerulean Seas route, using MapTool/Skype... but my game has a few years left, at the very least. :)
 

Reading someone else's material, and stowing it away securely enough that I can reliably recall it at the table, is often more work than coming up with it myself. If I wrote it, there is a greater chance I will recall details while gaming.
 

I'd say often. Over the past few years, I've converted Return to the Keep on the Borderlands (2e) and Slave Pits of the Undercity (1e) to 3.5e, The Sentinal/Gauntlet (1e) to Iron Heroes, Red Hand of Doom and Return to Castle Ravenloft (3.5e) to 4e, Against the Cult of the Reptile Gods (1e) to HackMaster Basic, and I'm currently readying for a Pathfinder game running Castle Whiterock (3.5e).

I already modify a lot of stuff in published adventures, anyway. I really only use the plot as a guideline to begin with when I use them, so plugging in different opponents is pretty simple.
 

I do lots of conversion (both D+D and other game settings). I recently wrote up a conversion for my favorite D+D setting, Dark Sun, to Savage Worlds (available here if anyone cares). Which is pretty sad when you consider my current group detests Dark Sun so I'll probably never have a chance to use it myself.

I'm also converting the Keep on the Borderlands adventure to PDQ for a game I'm running now. Although it's a bit of a more of a parody than a direct conversion.
 

Never, but I'm strongly tempted to. There are a handful of 3.5 adventures, and possibly even Pathfinder's Kingmaker that I'd be tempted to run in 4e or Strands of Fate, if I ever get a Strands of Fate game going.
 

I voted "not very often." My campaign has migrated from 2e, to 3e, to 4e, so I sometimes have to convert some of my old material (or material I stole from a contemporary source). But - that having been said - I can't think of a situation in which I converted an entire adventure.

I voted "never" - I always run published adventures and don´t want to mess with stuff that´s properly tested.
