D&D 5E How often have you played D&D 5e over the past year?

Hrm, I'd be curious if there is any correlation between length of session and how often you play. I mean, I play 1/week, pretty regularly, but, we play 3 hour sessions. I would guess that the 1/2 weeks, or 1/month crowd may play longer sessions, meaning, in terms of game hours/year, there might not be a huge difference.

Faked it a little - was in a weekly campaign but it's over and things were a bit hectic for a while so I haven't looked to join anything new.

We try to play every week, but we're all dads with toddlers so it tends to be every other week. Our normal session is three hours long, but twice a year we gather for an all day game.

Both my Thur & Fri games are scheduled as 4hrs. 6pm-10pm. In reality they average 3h,45m of play and about 10m of setup/cleanup.

For a while we were doing 4 hour sessions. I was astonished to see how much more we got done when you added that extra hour. Between losing time at the beginning and end of session for kibitzing and people being late or whatnot, adding that 4th hour was a HUGE jump in getting stuff done.

It's not a bad question to ask. I voted once a month and our sessions run a minimum of eight hours with more than that not unheard of. Finding a day that we're all free is difficult so when it happens we make the most of it. If we could meet twice as often... yeah, we'd probably play half as much each time.

I noticed that nobody selected "once every three weeks". I suppose we have a natural aversion to counting in threes when dealing with four-week months. Interesting.

I play online once every two weeks in a campaign that is a little over a year old. Life occasionally gets in the way and we skip a session or two. Sometimes someone from the group steps up and runs a one-shot.

My Star Wars group is on hiatus - hopefully we'll be playing once a week again in the fall. Well, I took a leave of absence while the some of the group played Vampire: the Gathering or some such emo nonsense.
