There does seem to be a lack of 12-sided dice in the 3rd Edition... Perhaps we need a 12-Sided Awareness Council to let people know just how spiffy the 12-sided die really is. Think about it- d6s and d8s have way too few sides- its much easier to fix your rolls on with these dice than other dice. And you need to save the magic inherent in the 10-siders (another favorite) for percentile dice. And as for the d20... weeellll I think we should just rename the system to the d12 system and start all over! Who's with me?! The 12-sided dice of the world, unite! Your lack of usesage in the gaming world shall be avenged!

Play a Barbarian wielding a Great Ax and you will use the d12 all the time.

On topic, only time I see a d12 used is for Greataxe damage. Mainly, Orcs and Barbarians.

I wish I had thought more about it before I voted, because now that I reflect we use the d4 the least - because since I use knockdown rules the d12 comes into use fairly often for people weielding mauls, heavy flails and the like.

My friends and I once made alternate rules for Axis & Allies using all 12-sided dice.
