How should my Sorcerer grow?

Your Charisma is going to drag those save DC's down like a rock in many cases, so it's best to choose spells that do not depend on saving throws (like Magic Missile or Haste), or have an acceptable effect if the save is made (like Fireball). Limit yourself to a single offensive spell per spell level, but vary your elements across levels. My list of offensive spells would be something like:

1. Magic Missile
2. Melf's Acid Arrow
3. Fireball
4. Sonic Orb (Tome & Blood), or Ice Storm
5. Cone of Cold
6. Disintegrate
7. Delayed Blast Fireball
8. Horrid Wilting
9. Imprisonment or Temporal Stasis (almost same thing)

Similarly, I tend to stick to one defensive spell per level except at level 1. The Mage Armor and Shield combo is too good to pass up. My list for those goes something like:

1. Mage Armor, Shield
2. Resist Elements
3. Haste (it's good even if you ONLY got +4 AC!)
4. Stoneskin
5. Teleport, or maybe Wall of Force
6. Globe of Invulnerability (best of weak choices)
7. Energy Immunity (Tome & Blood), or Forcecage
8. Mind Blank or Protection from Spells
9. Gate, or Time Stop

Round out the rest with your favorites, keeping in mind your opponents will make their saves a lot unless you strike hard at their weaknesses.

I wouldn't call a -1 to DC's "like a rock" - in truth, you don't have any less valid strategies than a human sorcerer with the same CHA. It's only a -2 to CHA - a very powerful Dwarf sorcerer could still be made even with a 14 or 16 CHA instead of a 16 or 18.

I played a dwarven sorceror once, it was great fun. The DM let me tweak his spells a bit so that they all had more of a dwarven "flavor," while still retaining the same mechanics. For example, shield would create a visible iron shield, and magic missle created bits of shrapnel that fly to their target. The character focused mostly on summoning spells and buffs, two areas which don't require high save DC's. I know, summons aren't the most powerful spells out there, but my character was from a noble dwarven house and just didn't feel comfortable without a sturdy set of bodyguards :)
