How to Host a Murder/D&D

Hello All,

I'm looking for feedback suggestions regarding an idea I had.

I was thinking of combining a board game, similar to the How Host a Murder game with my upcoming D&D adventure.

My plan is to try and provide the various characters with the alloted info that each characater of the board game is supposed to have and see how it plays out.

Has anyone tried anything like this?

If so, how did it work, and which board game did you use?

I had thought about doing something along these lines with the most obvious choice: Clue. But I never worked out the details in a way that I was satisfied with.
