How to post a poll?

I'd like to post a poll and have never done it before (yea, yea, I know - I'm a poll-virgin and I admit it....).

However, doing so is not intuitive.... Help, please?

First think about your options, your poll items. Then start a new thread, down at the bottom you will see make a poll click yes, change number of poll items to the number you have come up with and then Post new thread. You will be asked to enter your items.
