How to run a Soulknife encounter

I don't see why this wouldn't work, but I haven't asked my DM yet: because I have Free Draw, I can create the mindblade as a free action; I could start to shake hands or clap someone on the back and instantly create the mindblade after my hand is grasping theirs or is on their shoulder!

I used this tactic in a SW game with an imbedded light saber...but.

If I were your DM, I would rule that the creation of the mindblade is limited by the presence of a physic aura in the space. Flavor wise, the 'because' is from needing to focus your mind on either creating the blade or penetrating anothers phsycic aura.

Of course, I would let you know that my SW character, played for 5 real time years at a pace of twice a month minimum, used the tactic 5 times.
