How to take over the world

This reminds me of Calvin and Hobbes when Calvin modifies his Transmografier into a Cloning box to make copies of himself.

Good time to plug The Jester's story hour, where the plot problems of trying this are explored in wonderful detail!

Yeah, and though the high-level party is currently in all kinds of other hot water, there are still empowered and multi-empowered (pre-3.5 world-changing event) simulcra running around causing all kinds of trouble...

What's your point?

It does not matter which creature you duplicate, the simulacrum is still under control of the original caster.

I think his point was that while yes, the simulacrum(s) is completely unded the caster's control, the dragons are not... unless, of course, Duplicate has the same clause. No books at work, so I'm not sure.

Ok, I get it now.

The original creatures that he duplicates are very powerful. Sure. You duplicate them without their knowledge (a difficult, but not impossible task).

To War Against Felenga, mostly- though there's also a connection in the Politics of Tirchond thread, which is languishing til we get back to those characters.
