How tough is too tough?

There is no way in except the front door. This also means there is no way out except the front door. Seal the front door by any means necessary. If they have a spellcaster who can summon food and water for everyone, or if the keep has such functionality, they will survive. Otherwise, wait for them to die of thirst or starvation.

Note: We've been told that we have to stop the ceremony to raise the BBEG (they will be sacrificing a distant family member), since we have characters that died we need to travel for two weeks there and two weeks back

Why? Can't the wizard just teleport you there and then back again? Or at least back again?

Or summon the horrible creature beneath the keep, destroying the world. One of the two.

I think the key here is that YOU own the keep. It's your keep. Hence you SHOULD be able to at least negotiate with the defenders.

Can't TP, Wizard died when the two Fireball glyphs went off on the front step doing 100 points of damage. Must slog it, glad we brought horses. Also in other in-game events the wizard is not going to be brought back.

Already tried to negotiate with the Keep defenders, I tried talking to the 12 Air Elementals (they guard the walls from flying creatures). The first time they carried all of us to the bottom of the chasm, the second time they dropped us when we were two feet from the ground, the third time they dropped when we were ten feet. Decided we didn't really want to plummet to our deaths and haven't tried again.

Thanks All for responding, Now that I know that it is a module for 17th level characters I'm ~definately~ giving it a miss after telling the next Paladin I find to go stop the world from being destroyed. I still think I should blow the keep up to get the experience however but it seems a little childish.

As a wise man once said - "It's the only way to be sure."

Do let us know how this all turns out.
