I'm playing with an idea for my DS campaign, and I'd like some help (purtty please??)
The idea is combining a home made dwarven starfighter class with remote operation drones. One character can be a squadron (sort of). With the proper equipment a pilot can 'be' the craft (full brain port cybernetics).
Here's where it gets touchy. The dwarven starfighter gains the ability to location objects in space by detecting gravity with a spot check. The sense wouldn't carry over to the drone. When he uses the spot gravity trick he's going to be effectively disembodied, forcing him to figure out where he and his targets are in relation to his body.
Long winded, but hopeful it was clear. Would I handle this by upping the DC of the Spot check? Do you have other suggestions?
