A glove of storing.

You'll need to "toggle" that bow on and off in your hand if you are going to be casting spells.

i second this one, add in boots of striding and springing and you have 300 gp left for fancy hats and expensive meals.

the highly mobile, instantly armed thing should work well :)

third. gloves of storing are very handy for the weak, small hin.

Use them to start a chain of (a) pubs, (b) brewries, (c) bakeries, or (d) laundries. Dominate the puny humans economically without them ever realizing it.

I know what my halfling spent his fortunes on:

The Feldabrin Sneakfoot Persany School for Wayward Halflings

. . . of course.

The price of Boots of Striding and Springing had been changed to 5,500 or 6,500 gp in a 3.0 errata. The 3.5 SRD says 5,500 gp.

My halfling would buy large quantities of the following items:

1. Apple pies
2. Blueberry pies
3. Boysenberry pies
4. Pumpkin pies
5. Squash pies
6. Mince Meat pies
7. Custard pies
8. Cherry pies
9. Blackberry pies
10. Lemon pies
11. Lime pies
12. Pineapple pies

Remember, one of the most favored holidays on the Halfling calendar is "Pie Day"
