Actually dove into the first two eps today. Lots of nostalgic character skits, but with good writing so its not just a sentiment fest. Bruce is still my favorite.

I really appreciate that they kept Shadowy Men on a Shadowy Planet's "Having an Average Weekend" as the theme, instead of trying to be new & edgy somehow.

That was surprisingly effective for me. I was anticipating new music, but keeping the theme really helped get me in the mood to watch the show

First two episodes were pretty good. Same odd zaniness and dead pan humor. Totally worth checking out.

I also got two episodes in. Sketch comedy is always pretty hit and miss, but I thought it was mostly solid. It's very much a continuation of the original series. Personally I only sporadically watched the original a quarter century plus ago so some of the fan service probably went over my head. Fortunately I happen to have seen the final episode like three times, since it is explicitly referenced in the first episode of the revival.

I had no idea this was a thing. I'm generally not a fan of sketch comedy but I love The Kids in the Hall. Need to check this out

They definitely leaned heavily into that lol. The timing on it is pretty perfect though (like that life of Brian scene).
