I *almost* bought an Avalanche Press book

First of all, That is not a very fey lady on the cover! I expect slender, innocent and youthfull out of most fey entities and such. Not mature, well developed and sexy. Though having a pixie in that pose and outfit may risk child pron charges.

Second that is a very lurid pose on the AP 'The Little People' with her legs spread and that tiny bikini bottom. Most of the time Hustler covers don't go that far! I like the art, but that sorta thing isn't the reason i buy gaming books, spank you very much!


And it is nice to hear that AP books go the historacle route.

I can't believe thats their Viking cover. I bought Celtic because it was something I was interested in, and it didn't have the provacative covers. I have been waiting for a viking book for D20, and now there is this, which I won't buy because of the cover. Oh well, I think GURPS came out with a viking book recently.

It is just frustrating. We finally get a company that makes historical RPG material, and it has sleazy covers.

And you can say that I am prudish, I am not. I would never want my daughter to see those covers...

??? The viking one is very clean. Sure, she is kneeling down in the snow with bare legs, but if that offends you, I'd suggest you never take her to say, an American Football Match, or switch on the telly during one: The cheerleaders will wear less.

I just hope you don't raise your daughter in such a way she will be scared of the human body; if she can't see even see bare legs...

Don't worry, I'm lapse Catholic. I spent my childhood offering a prayer of thanks to God for getting schoolgirls into plaid skirts.

But I have to wonder, if there are gamers (both males and females) who are followers of Islam, what would they think of such cover art?
