that nickelback sucks? well, yeah. largely it's because the singer sounds constipated, and because the instrumentation sounds so uninspired (like much of today's popular rock, i feel).

Considering they (Nickelback, 3 Doors Down, Fallout Boys) all sound the same, I have no choice but to agree.

Nickelback doesn't even manage mediocre, but a couple of the acoustic versions of their songs are fairly decent. 3DoorsDown=engineered mediocrity, Fallout Boys=why is this on the radio?.

There's a fairly decent rock scene near my home with some good local heavy bands. Recently heard an local band that was pretty damned good a couple weeks ago too. Called something like 10,000 Angels Burning or something like that(anyway it was something about lots of angels dying).

As for kindness,

i like Kryptonite (maybe it's the geek in me), and possibly another song or two that i can't recall at the moment.
