I feel old

Tinker Gnome

Adventurer
I am only 18, but I feel like I am 80. I dont know why either, I just feel old, and I often look at people that are older than me as young. Anyone else feel older than they really are? :(

been there, done that! :D

the bad news? i never stopped feeling old since i turned 18!

the good news? i no longer care! ;)

No my good sir. I don't feel older. But what do you mean by "older"? Worn out? "World"-weary? Stretched out, like butter scraped too thinly over toast?

If so, I would advise putting away that Ring of Power you have been secretly hoarding and go on a holiday to visit the elves in Rivendell. Sit quietly by the fire and listen to music and storytelling and maybe even write a few poems between a nap or two. :)

When I was a teenager, people always told me I seemed old for my age. Now nearing 40, they tell me I'm immature. I say I haven't changed, it's the world that's got the problem, not me.

It's probably no big deal feeling old at 18 if you get to feel young at 80.

Pshaw! I'm old enough to be your mother!

I never feel old - well, at least not in my head. In there I'm only 30. ;)
Unfortunately my body agrees with Galeros. :\

I feel younger at times, older at other times.

Example- getting up from sitting on the floor. My legs and back are so sore and I use to do that all the time.

Example- looking for attention, affection, and respect- I feel like a friggin' child. I suppose I never got any while I was growing up and have never gotten any as an adult.

Your age is up to you and Father Time- he will tell you how old your body is while you tell yourself how old your mind and spirit are

Take care, and peace all :)

Heh, did you get an AARP membership form in the mail? (They keep sending them to younger and younger people...)

I got one last week. I'll be all of 37 in September. Just cuz I've got a bit of gray in my beard . . . sheesh!
