I F'in HATE AMAZON!!!!

Sorry, KTT, but I don't think that my expectation is off when I pay a lot extra to get something to me on Wednesday(I ordered Monday nite) and when I check Thursday morning, it says that it MIGHT ship on Friday and get to me by next monday. That's not acceptable, from my POV. Maybe I'm over demanding, but I don't seem to think I am, and neither does anyone that I've asked about this(all my players, and my sister as well).

Rothgery, all of them were in stock, at least to my knowledge, and regardless, if 1 was out of stock, they could've shipped out the other 2 and emailed me about the fact that they were out of the 3rd product. All siad "usually ship within 24 hours". And I know it didn't ship yet, that's why I got pissed, they were supposed to ship on Tuesday and be here yesterday, that's (again)[WARNING: RANT. This part is not meant to offend, I just need to vent this] WHAT I PAID EXTRA FOR! IF I had wanted the goddamn books next week, I would have chosen free shipping instead of paying all the extra money. But I was expecting for Amazon to actually not be incompetents and ship them when they were supposed to. Silly me. What the hell was I thinking, wanting a company to actually keep good business practices.

What about BAM?

Books a Million has been gracious to me in the past. Plus I always get stuff at 30-40% off the retail with my membership. Recently paid $21.00 for BoVD; got MMII for $20.00 etc.

Its a thought?

I've had good experiences with FRPgames. I don't know if they offer overnight shipping. I've only ever ordered with standard shipping and I usually get my stuff in a week or less. That's about how long my FLGS would take to get it in, but sometimes FRP's prices are a tiny bit better. Both give some pretty nice discounts.

I know how you feel about Amazon. Back in August I ordered Band Of Brothers and the Platinum Fellowship of the Rings on DVD. I split the order so Band of Brothers would ship this week (Amazon says the 6th) well here it is the 7th and I get the preparing to ship message. I can just imagine how I will be next week waiting for FotR to show up.

gee, maybe if you also held your breath, obviously just pounding your fists on the floor and whining isn't getting it done....

Try to relax.

If you get so worked up every time you don't get excactly what you paid for, you're in for a whole lot of hating during the rest of your life. That's no good. Instead just take a deep breath, chill out, and order from some other firm.

;)

I've yet to have any problem with Amazon. Even my pre orders ship on the correct day and arrive with in two days. Usually, ordering from Amazon gets me stuff faster then waiting for the local stores to get them.

The shipping options affect time from Amazon's warehouse to your place; they don't affect Amazon's prep time at all. Even if everything's in stock, that will almost certainly be at least a day (and if you ordered after noon Pacific, figure on two). And if you didn't get a shipping soon email within two days of placing an order, than obviously something wasn't in stock.

Amazon does give you the option to have things shipped as they become available, rather than using the smallest number of shipments possible. And when I had preorder a bunch of items with disparate ship dates and got impatient, I changed my order to do that; the items that were out already shipped a few days later.
