true but aasimars do not even have that.
Sure. They're only boring.

Though I have to say, whilst I like tieflings, over-abundance and normalisation sorta threatens to make them boring as well. Like one Hellboy is cool, but if the literal devilspawn are just common and unremarkable part of life in the fantasy world they have lost the edge that made them interesting.

This is a big point of contention. You seem to believe that mutually happy compromise is possible 99% of the time, and look to accuse one or both actors of bad faith (usually the GM) whenever someone claims it isn't.
I mean, yeah, I'm going to hold the person claiming "absolute authority" to a higher standard than the people who are expected to fall in line or else. Dunno about you, maybe you feel people with power deserve to be given more leniency, and people without it should be put to the screws, but that seems kinda out of whack to me.

It is foolish IMO to assume acceptance doesn't mean acceptance.
It is foolish IMO to pretend that all acceptance is identical and complete.

Ok. And this is a problem because...?
Because your argument depends on all acceptance being identical and complete.

I don't believe power (even "absolute" as you suggest) needs to automatically be given less leniency, especially since the abuse of said power is IMO far less common then you've claimed, even if your personal experience has been resoundingly negative.

In short, I simply disagree with you.
