I guess that's what he does these days...

Not to pick up on a minor comment you made and run with it... well, actually, yeah, to do exactly that: I've got a foolproof method to find closet gamers. I picked up a big d20 -- about as big as a baseball, and I keep it on my computer at work. It always amazes me that whenever a gamer comes by, he has to comment on it. A lot of them have to give it a few trial rolls, for that matter.

It's just like an addiction. You see it laying there and........gottaaa......rooolllll........diiiiiiieeeee!!!

Damn!! Failed my will save again!!

That's a darn good idea.

I have one I got from the MET, made of glass (crystal?), and marked with roman symbols. Looks nice, draws gamers attention, but can camoflage for the straights.

Not bad. I usually include the term "six sided dice" in casual conversation. Gamers always go for that.

"You think those statistics* are accurate? Hah! I could generate more reliable results with a six sided dice!" ;)

*Poll results, whatever.

"Dude, He's like... square... like a six sided die like...you know."

 Rav, I dare you to use this phrase in casual conversation sometime in the next 24 hours. Please report back on the response you get.

(again), in french d20 is pronounced "day-vain" (as in vain, only the n is silent. It is the same with d6 (day-sis). Only, a die in french is pronounced EXACTLY the same as the letter D ("day").

So, for us, it is d20, not "dee-twenny", and it sounds so natural. When we talk with non-gamers, we cannot just say "roll a die", it always gets out as "roll a d6".

Oh my god, I'm not talking about Nebin! AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!

Dirty old gnome. :D

Moe, I think you mentioned somewhere that your birthday was Dec 31? Can you confirm or deny this?

I started highschool a week ago; today was my 6th day. I think I've got a new group together, too! 'S been fun so far. How're you holding up? :)

I can confirm it (and hot diggidy dang the fact that you can remember that sort of thing is impressive.)

I'm holding up quite well. I got some funny looks earlier when the social studies teacher asked us for an interesting fact about ourselves and I mentioned that I "spend peculiar ammounts of time in other peoples' basements".

Tsunami- feel free to do so. I feel such traditions must be upheld.
