I have finally found something I dislike

Firstly I would like to say that this is my first thread, so I am sorry if it comes off a bit weak.
secondly and mainly, I like most of what I hear about the new edition(yes even the that the dragonborn females has breasts), today I read about the time stop spell only gives you two non attack actions. I guess I just don't dig it. oh, well I am still counting the minutes until my very shiney gift set arrives on my door step.

That's not all that different as the old time stop gave you 1d4 rounds so about 2.5 actions none of which could be used offensively.

There's no way to balance time stop if it lets you get multiple attacks spells off. Each spell would be balanced in relation to the others of its level, but even if time stop were level 30, it would still not be balanced, because it could be used to launch multiple level 30 spells, making it always the most powerful tactic.

2 actions does seem kind of weak, but I'm sure by that level that will be plenty for whatever tactic you're trying to use it for.

Yes you could. At least, in 3.5 anyway. Perhaps you are talking about 2E and earlier?

People used delayed spells to attack.
