Are you serious? I think this is one of the best, if not the best, message boards I've found on this internet we all know and love. I don't ignore anyone in here. (although I've come close once or twice....)

this is the only place on the internet i use my ignore list. well into the hundreds.

I've seen quite a few posts hostile to you as well, and then those users suddenly no longer reply to your posts; in fact I wouldn't be surprised if you were the most blocked person on ENWorld. Obviously your OD&D proselytizing doesn't bother me enough to block you though .

Don't bash zealots, if it weren't for them wonderful things like the crusades may have never happened . Not only that but what would I rush people with in starcraft?

People just shouldn't get pissed about other peoples opinions or personal taste and there wouldn't have been this problem you had. Theres a difference between expressing your views, understanding other peoples views and attacking other people's views.

Overall, I'd say yes.

They've actually got some good advice on DM/GM ad libbing and on-the-spot rules adjudication in that thread, not only for C&C, but for RPGs in general.

I did complain about the first poster to respond in particular (plus a second one thereafter), I don't complain about all the posters who just simply answered my question. I don't mind that people have different opinions. I just mind one among them who I considered an arrogant ...<deleted because of grandma>... who cannot but explain his position with insults and contempt.

Well, in his defense, he did use smilies, which usually indicate someone is either joking or being semi-serious.

Honestly, I didn't see any trolling. I saw people with differences of opinions. You posted your opinion, he posted his (granted he could have been nicer about it) and then it became a pissing match. You put words in his mouth and he continued to egg you on. No one comes out smelling like roses in that thread. No trolling on anyone's part there because everyone's comments actually contributed to the conversation, unlike troll's who simply post to be inflammatory and don't contribute.
