So, I realized today that I missed the deadline for a job application I was interested in. I'd been at Origins last weekend (total waste of time, by the way), and I'd asked for an extension, which was generously granted. But a friend of mine came into town, and we got to playing Magic a lot, and I forgot all about the job application, so I missed the deadline.
Not completely the fault of Magic cards, but I just feel stupid. Oh, other problems included my apartment complex having a power outage because a drunk driver slammed into a light pole and knocked down a power line (he lived, thankfully), which caused me to crash at a friend's place so I wouldn't be stuck without AC. Unfortunately, my friend is one of those lonely types who wanted me to hang around the next day, so that was another day wasted.
I'm going to send in the application anyway, in case they don't work Saturdays and don't think to check the date I sent the email. Heh.
*sigh*
Now, I know what you're saying. "But Ryan, you write for E.N. Publishing, and work on the ENWorld Gamer. How could you want another job?" To which I have to reply, "You're right. I can easily support myself with this freelance gig, and all I need is the help of a few thousand ENWorlders a month to buy things I write."
Forgive my ranting. I just feel in a ranty sort of mood.
