I was walking down the street in Cambridge, MA when I looked down and saw on the sidewalk a 2x2 dungeon tile with a pit trap. Good thing I didn't step in it!

Probably my perception check... just saving means I would be prone.

Maybe it missed its Reflex attack against you. Did you stop moving when you did it? If so, that'd match the 'target does not move forward and ends it move action' type verbiage it uses for a pit missing

Do you mean, you saw that someone had scrawled a 2x2 dungeon and put the symbol for pit trap in it, or that there was a literal pit trap in Cambridge MA?

I'm guessing someone dropped a dungeon tile -- one of WotC's or some other company's -- on the street, and he happened across it.

Either that, or he has some cunning enemies out to get him. Or maybe it was the world's most original attempted mugging.

I've heard that Massachusett has a pot hole problem (or maybe that's just Boston), but pit traps in the road seems a little excessive to me.
