Sinister Secret of Saltmarsh.

Haunted house
Pirates
Betrayle
Rot grubs
Swashbuckling

plus more!

I always like Saltmarsh, but I think it would be a bit longer than required. So far Inverness with only the tourney encounters would probably fit best, IMO.

Been quiet a few years since I ran it but I think L1 The Secret of Bone Hill should be able to be done in a single session... also a classic

You have time to run Tomb of Horrors five times! :]

The tournament section of C1 Hidden Shrine of Tamoachan is fairly self-contained for this sort of thing. C2 was designed for multiple tournament sessions, so you won't get it done in one 5-hour session without significant trimming.

Another good one would be A4, Dungeons of the Slavelords. Not only would it fit in time (the volcano can just blow up if they aren't done in five hours) but you'll get some interesting play given the opening of the module ... and pre-gens are included.

I second this. Very fun adventure that should fit right within your time allotment and works much better as a one-off than as part of a campaign (due to its infamously railroaded beginning).

Without knowing what level I'm going to suggest C2 The lost tower of Inverness or something like that. It is a nice place that is easy to explore. It has a good mix of old style combat and riddles plus has some really cool places for combat. I ran it a year or so ago and it turned out to be a lot of fun.

I'll vote for C2 as well, one of my favorites.

Ghost Tower of Inverness :)

I own that but have never ran it. It can be done in 1 session?
Yep. The original module was meant to be run in 3 hours. It was designed for competition play at GenCon. Just leave out the encounters labeled "(Not for Tournament Use)."

You might also consider some modules from Dragon or Dungeon, since they're generally smaller than the 32 page titles and you'll be more likely to complete them in your time allotment.

In general, you should be able to run one level/round from any of the original tourney adventures (or modules run at tourneys) since each round/level was (in theory) completable within four hours: A1-4, C1-2, D1-2, G1-3, I1, R1-4, S1-4. Of those, A4 definitely stands out, although I'm very partial to either round in A1, the dungeon level in G1, all of G3, and S4 as well :D

How about AC10: Bestiary of Dragons and Giants?

I've used that book on numerous occasions when I needed some "filler" or a short adventure. It's got adventures for just about every conceivable level, and there's hardly any before-hand work to do.

Plus, you'll come back to it time after time when you're in a pinch. It's been great for me even up through the 3.5e days.

Isle of Dread is always fun, and its open structure would allow you to fit it nicely into whatever time you have. Just make sure to handwave all the "getting to the island" scenes, maybe by starting with a shipwreck.
