I Want To Play An Intelligent Mouse

Can't help on how to play one as a PC, but as far as stats go there is a mouse familiar in Dragon 280:

Skills: Hide +14, Move Silently +6, Swim +10.

I don't know about that, there are plenty of things I can waste more time on. A roll of Duct Tape, for example, can keep me entertained for days on end if it's used right. Those marshmallow Peeps tie with a Twinkie (the ones with the vanilla cream, not the banana stuff they went back to) for a close second, followed by a cat. I'm sure you could fit search engines, mp3's, or porn in there someplace, but it'd still come in well behind a cat wrapped in duct tape playing with a peep.

Anyway, while good, this is a house rule you're presenting here. I'm hoping to find some kind of 'official,' meaning 'in something WotC's pulished,' rule for this.

I find it difficult to believe that the mind behind the badass Liber Bestarius is so concerned about his mouse PC being WotC legit.

As a GM, I'd let the PC pick whichever he thought was best (awakened, anthropomorphic). As a designer, I'd probably just design the racial descripts myself and say "Use this."

But my GM stopped by this thread and said "Clearly, he's from a colony of mice that were awakened several generations ago." Fair enough.
