I6: Ravenloft (adapted to 3.x) - OOC Thread - CALLING MY PLAYERS!

For the most part I'm going to use the original beginning...a storm has driven you to seek shelter at an inn in the small town of Dunfarrow, just outside the County Barovia. Assuming you want to head to Barovia, I assume you'll leave the next morning and prepare your typical travelling spells.

Delkat Krayling is approved. Just do me a favor and change your coin left to silver, since my campaign world works on the silver standard. :)

Also, your PC will receive a slightly different introduction from the others based on your background...and he'll have to interject himself into their group. I'm sure you can accomplish that quite nicely.

Am I correct that you must use it [touch] on each companion to make them immune to your breath? And how long does it last?

Thanks! If there are any concerns and adjustments to be made on the fly to Sarryx's Power Level I'm more than happy to do it.

Least Invocation; With a touch you grant a creature (or yourself) the ability to withstand hot or cold environments as if affected by the Endure Elements spell (PH226). In addition, the target is immune to any effects of your breath weapon. This invocation's effect lasts for 24 hours.

Renau1g, after seeing that your invocation lasts 24 hours and is usable at will by your PC, I have serious concerns about it. You can protect your companions at the beginning of the day and then use your breath weapon at will, with no worry about how and when you use it. That strikes me as overpowered, especially since there is no attack roll for breath attacks and simply saving throws. Now, granted it only does 3d6 damage, but with breath effects and feats that adjust it, I am now very concerned. It strikes me as MUCH more powerful than a standard warlock...

Thoughts?

Your PC looks good. I like that you gave him a skill (Perform: Mandolin) that has no real bearing except for flavor. Kudos.

As far as the background goes, any idea of what type of city he would have served in the watch of? I mean, there are hundreds of cities across my game world...

As far as the dwarves go, the largest concentration of them is the Kingdom of Koradar, which is predominantly dwarf. And he very well could have fought shadows in the Felldark Hills on Koradar's southern border...afterall, the presence of the Riftlands behind the hils ensure all sorts of dark and foul things are found in that region.
