IA: A Teacher for Laynie

With the issue settled, Vanitri will make small talk and eventualy head back to check on Laynie.

*They continue along as usual, and finals come and go. Lex feels optimistic about her results, but she knows a few minor things she got wrong, so she's still a bit anxious. She helps Vanitri try to select some introductory classes for next term. Taking his preference for history and geography in mind, they develop an experimental schedule that looks like this:

Mysteries of the Six Towers
Cantrips and their Applications
Magical Items and Their Use


As Vanitri heads to turn in his pre-registration, however, he sees people whispering in the halls again...and that can't be good.*

Vanitri will see what he can overhear, and ask anyone he recognizes if they know what the comotion is about.

*He overhears the name 'Lara' being bandied about among the crowd, but he doesn't spot anyone he recognises, at least at first.*

Vanitri tries to recall how many Lana's he knows. as he tries to pick up the conversation.

*Lara Espree was the name of a student in Omega. They don't seem to be saying much that he can tell without leaning in too close to be discreet, so he heads back to find Lex.*

"Vanitri...did you hear? Lara..."

 

[Bront]

"I heard murmerings, what happened?"

 

[Rystil Arden]

"They found a note...she said she had gone, to be with Gaark..."

 

[Bront]

"Suicide? Now that is odd. What do you know about her?"

 

[Rystil Arden]

"Well, Gaark did mention her specifically in his note that we found...Lara and Cherise both. She did seem pretty upset and distracted after his death. I didn't know she was in love with him, though. What a strange romance, between a half-orc and a half-elf?"
