*Vanitri returns the next day and heads to the archive. They tell him that he is to meet his proctor in a particular third floor conference room, so he heads there.*

*Entering the room, he sees Layna, wearing an official-looking proctoring ensemble.*

"Hey there. Heard you did well on the first part. I think you might not find the second part of the examination as much to your liking though, I'm afraid."

"I've got the test here for you. You'll have three hours to answer as many questions as you can. This time, you have to answer them all yourself, with no books or anything else to help you. I'll take care of Laynie for you while you work. Do you have any questions?"

"So, just myself, answer as many questions as I can, and I can't look anything up, ask for help, or look for answers outside of here? "

"Sure. Laynie and I can go get a glass while you start working, and I'll bring it in shortly."

*She hands Vanitri another packet of papers, though this one is significantly shorter than the last one.*

"All right, wish me luck."

Vanitri reads the directions and then scims through all the questions first.

"Good luck then."

"Good luck, Mister Vanitri!"

*Vanitri notices that some of the questions are reasoning questions that don't require any particular subset of magical knowledge, some of them are taken directly from yesterday's exam, some are related to questions from yesterday's exam and require careful thought and application, and some are on magical theory that he simply doesn't know.*

*By the time he has finished the overview, Layna and Laynie are back with some water. Layna sets it down quietly and leaves.*
