IA: A Teacher for Laynie

[Bront]

Vanitri pulls out the one he's looking for. "Well, the little lady I came with is a dreamer, maybe she helped. Perhaps once I've rested a bit, we can find where we got that from."

 

[Rystil Arden]

*The one he is looking for proves to be one of the ten 'easy ones' that Laynie answered right away before they even had to do any research. So indeed, he didn't find it at the library.*

 

[Bront]

"Oh, well, here it is. Just somethin' we knew a little about coming in. Maybe just a bit of legend or somethin'. You think it's not valid sir?" he says, handing it over to the professor.

 

[Rystil Arden]

"Oh, that would explain it then. I bet it was just the musings of a collective unconscious mythology, humankind's shared dream," he sets it aside dismissively without really reading it.

"In any case, you had best get some sleep. The examination continues tomorrow."

 

[Bront]

"Well, I would appreciate you taking a serious look at it later Sir. Not that I think it will be perfect, but part of me wonders if there's any merit to it."

"So, is there a place here I can stay? Or should I just crash in the library? It's a little late to be dragging a child through the ruins."

 

[Rystil Arden]

"I'll glance through it when I do my cursory check to make sure your answers are adequate."

"You'll have to find some place to stay, as the dormitories are not open to non-residents."

 

[Bront]

"Is there a guest inn or something like that in the Accademy?"

OOC: How far is the walk back? If it's more than an hour, carrying Laynie doesn't seem like a great idea.

 

[Rystil Arden]

"No, we don't have an inn here."

(OOC: 45 minutes at a brisk walk)

 

[Bront]

"Shame. When shall I return then tomorow? I'd like to get a good night's sleep, but don't want to keep you all waiting."

Once he has a time and a place, he'll thank the Professor for his time, retrieve Laynie, and head back to his room at the Inn.

 

[Rystil Arden]

"Come at noon then. You won't be meeting with me, though. The next part is simpler, so we'll probably stick you with a grad student. Go to the archives and they'll tell you where to go."
