"Well, I'll have to make sure that some potential is fulfilled here at the accademy then," Vanitri says. "So, I suppose it's time to talk about living arrangements, payment, and the lot?"

"And I must ask, is the test of the past general one of your ancestors? Or does it very from person to person?"

"It varies from person to person. Some do indeed see their ancestors. Others see an event of significance to them. There is always some connection."

"Next, you will apply for scholarships and choose your house. Choose wisely, as once you have joined a house, you are a member or alumnus of that house forevermore, and you will make great friends and key connections among your housemates. Furthermore, some scholarships require you to be a member of a certain house, so you may wish to wait on scholarships to choose your house if you are strapped for money."

"Well, I'll have to do some research on that then. At the very least, I've got a very interesting namesake."

OOC: I'm ready to continue with sumaries and such for a bit. Obviously need to secure a place to live, finish up affairs in the city, probably sell the horse (if there are horses to use at the accademy), and then seek out Lex and Truman.

(OOC: Need to know what kinds of scholarships he will apply for and then which House he winds up with. We can skim through most of the interviews for organisational scholarships and such, but point out anything he would look for especially.)

OOC: Dorms, probably Omega (Artifact Research) or Daryne (Illusion seems like it fits the freefolk). Anything in outside research, exploration, maybe even geography and nature. He also, if they can try, may see if he can get a potential discount due to ancestory (assuming they can check)

(OOC: The Academy does not encourage outside research for students until at least the fourth year or provide funds for it, unless you mean the gardens on the Academy grounds or similarly nearby areas They can't really check ancestry with much certainty. Time for a bit of some breezing through: )

*Vanitri meets with some of the organisational scholarship people, and though he leaves a good impression, they seem to want him to become affiliated with their organisations and eventually work for them, which would probably curb his free spirit too much for his liking. The merit scholarships turn up 400 gold, which is supposed to be pretty good. This mainly leaves the memorial scholarships. When Elektra mentioned that the memorial scholarships were unusual, she wasn't kidding. Vanitri learns that most memorial scholarships are decided by semi-intelligent magical items created by the scholarship namesake to choose those worthy enough to receive their namesake scholarship. This seems a little bit creepy, so Vanitri will have to decide if he attempts the memorial scholarships and how many.*

Vanitri will certaintly try for a few memorial scholarships. Are there any that stand out to him?

He'll also see if he can get any scholarships because of Laynie (Parent/guardian/caregiver), Orphan scholarships, etc.
