IA: A Teacher for Laynie

[Rystil Arden]

"You are scheduled to enroll after the current term ends--no sense joining the classes now, since they are almost over anyways. Your tuition and your dorm rooms start for the next term. However, your initiation as a proud member of House Daryne is effectively immediately. What that means is that you will at least have access to the commons and other areas. Rooms are fairly big, though not as big as those huge Sice singles, so maybe somebody can put you up."

 

[Bront]

"Well, guess I'd best get initiated then."

Vanitri will first try to locate Lex and see if he can arrange a room (She may have room), as well as tell her he may have other information about Truman's thing.

After that, he'll see about dealing with his horse.

 

[Rystil Arden]

*Vanitri is initiated, which includes attuning him so he can reveal the door to the Daryne Commons. Afterwards, he goes to find Elektra.*

"Vanitri, Laynie, great! I'm glad you chose Daryne! Well, I do have the extra space, and it would be great fun to point it out to Alden, but I'm not sure how well the staff would like that, considering that male/female dorm room sharing is not allowed, and I do have another issue to consider. So I'll tell you what--swear to keep a secret for me and you can stay here as long as you need, and we won't tell anyone, much as I'd love to shove it in Alden's face."

 

[Bront]

"I can certaintly do that, though I wouldn't want to get you in too much trouble," Vanitri says with a slight grin.

"By the way, what's with him? He seems rather perturbed at you."

 

[Rystil Arden]

"Well, he's basically a pigheaded jerk...We had a thing going for a little while, but I guess the trouble started at the last Sice Connector's Dinner. They do invite a few people from the other houses, and so I was invited to attend, but Alden...well, let's just say he's not the greatest student. I invited him to come as my one guest because I didn't want him to feel left out, and he threw a temper tantrum and walked out. What a baby. The next thing I knew, he wasn't talking to me, and then he started going out with Kitty very visibly. He's really just a jackass."

"Anyway, if you want to chance it with me, I guess you can. Otherwise, wherever you decide to stay, I'm sure we'll be able to talk and I can help you out with your classes if I have time."

 

[Bront]

"No, here should be fine. Laynie likes you too, and it will be nice to have a woman around for her to relate to."

 

[Rystil Arden]

"Okay then. I'm going to need you to each swear unbreakable vows on this rod I'm about to hand you not to reveal my secret, okay?"

 

[Bront]

"Well, now you've got my curiosity."

Vanitri will swear once he gets Laynie to do so.

 

[Rystil Arden]

*After they swear, Elektra smiles and nods.*

"Well, to be honest...I wasn't exactly being forthright when I said I didn't have a roommate. You guys will meet her pretty soon, I suspect. Don't worry, you'll still be okay to use the second bed."

 

[Bront]

Vanitri chuckles, "Perhaps next time you best not knock and call for a name when you go to enter after saying it's empty then. So, who's the other roomate?"
