IA: Thurgan and Krug

*Krug smashes into the orc he had shot previously with his mace, causing a purple bruise to appear across the orc's face, but it snarls and snorts at Krug, turning balefully towards him as if ready to eviscerate him.*

*Two orcs slash at Krug, their axes whizzing through the air past him due to their inability to set up a good flank, though they are in position to do so next time. Jus then, the other two come after Thurgan, and while the stalwart dwarf manages to dodge one fierce slash, the other one cuts deeply, nearly causing a fatal blow until Thurgan's armour deflects it slightly, causing a terrible gash instead.*

(OOC:

Krug's Attack 17 + 2 = 19, Hit

Thurgan - Init: +2; AC: 19; HP: 08/36; Atk: W-axe +8 (1d10+5), X-bow +5 (1d8+1)

"Ouch, ya lousy . . . I thin' I needed that piece," Thurgan yelled, then directed to the prisoners "Get free ya people, ya think we're doin' this fer ar health?!"

Thurgan adjusted his location, looking to flank one of those that was manuevering on Krug, without incurring attack on himself. If he could not do so, he attacked the one that attacked him.

OOC: Looking to sidestep and flank an orc with Krug without drawing any AoO's. Free: Curse, Move: 5' adjust, Standard: attack two handed grip +2 Power attack +7 to hit, +1d10+5+4 damage.

*Thurgan manages to flank one of the two attacking Krug, the injured one, and position himself so Krug can move ten feet and be flanking the other one if he needs. He swings his axe and brings down a third orc, leaving only three of the brutish humanoids standing, as the bound women struggle at their bonds impotently but are unable to free themselves.*

(OOC:

Thurgan's Axe 16 + 9 = 25, Hit.
Orc F takes 18 Damage, falling unconscious.

Krug's Turn (note that Krug can get a Sneak Attack in on Orc D if he accepts the Attack of Opportunity for moving ten feet) )

Krug goes to help out Thurgan, and hoping he can get a good hit on one of the orcs.

Take a 10' step to get a sneak attack on Orc D, drawing an AoO

*The orc swings at Krug and barely misses as Krug's mace slams it across the side of the head, causing it a good deal of pain. The orc roars in rage and slashes Krug across the chest, knocking the dwarf unconscious on the ground, dying. The other two orcs turn on Thurgan, and the second draws an attack from Thurgan in exchange for a flanking position, taking a deep gash from Thurgan's axe as they both fail to connect with the sturdy dwarf.*

Thurgan's turn!)

Thurgan - Init: +2; AC: 19; HP: 08/36; Atk: W-axe +8 (1d10+4), X-bow +5 (1d8+1)

Thurgan concentrated on dropped the orcs. He needed accuracy more than power as there were several wounded orc. Thurgan swung first, trying to drop a wounded orc, then stepped over that area, forcing the orcs to try and move to re-flank.

Thurgan cursed and spit as he acted, hoping the orc would think him a berserker . . . or at least crazy and run. Then again, he was wild-eyed and spitting and cursing already . . . maybe he was a berserker.

OOC: Standard: attack two handed grip, wounded orc first. +9 to hit, +1d10+5 damage. Move: 5' adjust without drawing any AoO's.

*Thurgan's axe brings down the orc that moved past him to flank, and as he steps into the Orc's position, the adjacent orc's axe comes down hard but deflects harmlessly off Thurgan's sturdy armour. The other uninjured orc, heedless of the danger in his anger, moves past Thurgan to flank, letting Thurgan deal out a minor cut to him, although the orc's strategy doesn't pay off as the dwarf manages to dodge his feeble attack, forcing it to grate against the side of the armour.*

(OOC:
6 + 9 = 15, Hit
Orc C takes 13 Damage, falling unconscious

Orc D's Attack 11 + 6 = 17, Miss.

Thurgan's AoO 9 + 9 = 18, Hit.

Thurgan's turn.)

Thurgan - Init: +2; AC: 19; HP: 08/36; Atk: W-axe +8 (1d10+4), X-bow +5 (1d8+1)

Thurgan screamed in Dwarven, "Flee ya ruttin' bastar's, or I'll kill ya'll!!"

Thurgan swung at the one he wounded, stepping to the side of the orc on the backswing. If the orc dropped, he stepped over the downed orc and screamed at the remaining orc.

OOC: Standard: attack two handed grip, wounded orc first. +9 to hit, +1d10+5 damage. Move: 5' adjust without drawing any AoO's.

*Thurgan drops the wounded orc, screaming menacingly, and the other orc, even in the throes of battle fury, quakes in fear, seeing his once-great warband reduced to only himself. He turns tail and flees, though not haphazardly enough to give Thurgan an opening to attack.*

(OOC:
Thurgan's attack 13 + 9 = 22, Hit.
Orc D takes 14 Damage, falling unconscious.

Thurgan Intimidates Orc E
Orc E flees 80 feet.

Thurgan - Init: +2; AC: 19; HP: 08/36; Atk: W-axe +8 (1d10+4), X-bow +5 (1d8+1)

Thurgan grabbed his crossbow and started trying to close the distance, loading the weapon as he tried.
