Carradoc's spell connects.

Damien's bolt connects, killing a dwarf.

Dent's attack misses.

Tolan's attack hits.

Thaliss spell works.

Aridha's attack misses.

The dwarf retaliates with disadvantage, missing.

The party finishes off the enlarged dwarf and his body reverts to normal size.

There's not much else to say about the west dormitory, the fire is still going in the iron stove.

Before the others search the room Thaliss says telepathically Give me a few minutes, I will cast a spell that will give us warning if anything comes through this hall. This will prevent us being attacked from behind. Thaliss begins chanting.

OOC: Thaliss proceeds to cast alarm as a ritual. Mental alarm, area: hall L24 to 27, M to O 26 to 27

Once the casting is finished, Thaliss telepathically tells his companions that if they hear a ringing bell, someone or something has gone through the hall

OOC: Correction: make that an audible alarm, in case Thaliss is down.
Also, the alarm is to ring if anything larger than a rat passes in the area

The cooking stove appears to have a watery stew of some sort in it. The dwarves possessions include 6 hand crossbows, 14 javelins, 8 short swords, 6 maces, a large stock of bolts, wooden shields, various clothes, and a variety of leather armor.

The only items that seem particularly distinctive are the hand crossbows, which appear to have a loading mechanism for two bolts (one bonus action to load two bolts).

Edit: Also 118 gold pieces.

Damien snags one of the hand crossbows and a bunch of bolts to replace what he fired. "These are interesting..." he mused, fiddling with the strange device.

OOC: So, does that mean someone with the Extra Attack feature could fire twice in a round if they used a bonus action? It isn't relevant to me, but I'm just wondering.

OOC: Yeah, that would be one of the few ways to do anything particularly useful with them. Alternatively, if you wanted to use a bonus action for something else every other round, it would work.

Tolan takes the opportunity to trade out his distinctive horseshoe crab shield for one of the dwarves' more generic wooden ones. Otherwise, he seems uninterested in the room, slumping wearily against the wall, and wincing slightly at the aftermath of the battle.

"It seems there was more left to this floor than we had anticipated."
