Damien attempted lined up another shot and fired at the creature.

I must speak to whomever did that to that creature. Such cruelty! Archandros commented in the warlock's mind.

Dent zeroed in on the creature's anguish and fatigue, and smirked with small triumph; the hulk was weak. Vulnerable. Dent swung, aiming a blow at the beast, hoping to slay it. He stayed put and kept a surreptitious eye on Thaliss, not wanting the half-elf to incur injury. Strength in numbers.

Dent's attack fails. Aridha's bite hits, but the poison is less effective than it could be.

OOC: I don't have rules to reference, but I always assumed higher ground was more about melee attacks.

The creature turns to the only source of damage in melee range. One singular claw at tack lands for 15 points of damage (AC hit was 25 in case you have some relevant reaction).

The creature howls and mewls.
