Damien reloaded his crossbow and redoubled his efforts, hoping to bring the creature down before it could do more damage.

Dent looked up at the lip of the chasm and nodded his thanks to Damien and Tolan. Wiping sweat from his brow, he called, "Good work. I couldn't hit beans. This things got an exoskeleton like steel." He looked over at Aridha, Thaliss, and Carrodoc, trying to see who was injured and how badly. He also kept an eye out for doors and passageways; it wouldn't do to get ambushed just after slaying the Hulk.

Thaliss walked out of his illusory fortress and approached the creature. He blasted it with another eldrich blast, just in case, and proceeded to inspect it.
He then looked up at Damien and Tolan, and telepathically said, for all to hear Will you be joining us?

"Don't know. What's down there?" Damien shucked his backpack to the ground and proceeded to extract the coil of rope he carried. Unwinding it, he looked for a reasonable place to tie it to so that the idiots below could get out without having to go through the room with the ogre and his friends. He tied the rope to one of the columns and tossed it down below.

It looks like they kept this animal caged for some time. There are doors (past the cage) on the western wall and another to the east.

Dent strode over to the door to the east. He was about to yank on it to fling it open, then, in a rare study of prescience, thought better of that decision; instead, he stood close to the door and listened.
Carradoc, unwounded, looks at the lifeless husk that has fallen before him, and slips off to quickly search the Eastern edges of the room. He enters the cage area, walks around the perimeter, to see if there is anything hidden in the foul beast's nest, or if there are other access ways they should be aware of.
